hello what's going on youtube my name is, adc art attack, his name is bob and welcome back to a, brand new episode of my professional, artist versus a children's coloring book, series this is the series where i adc, art attack take a children's coloring, book and attempt to color it in a, professional hand hopefully surprising, you with the results by the end of the, video, and teaching you that no matter what age, you are a coloring book is a useful tool, and something we can all enjoy it, together, so what are we doing today, [Laughter], today my god, ah today we have the spiderman coloring, in playpack now this, is different from anything i've ever, done in this series because this is not, a coloring book per se, this is a coloring play pack and it, comes with an array, of stuff things over 30 color in pages, and a sticker sheet okay so this seems, to be a little bit different in that we, have coloring in, sheets we don't have a book in here, which is really cool because that's, going to allow me to do something a, little bit different here today, because we are not confined or trapped, by a book and maybe at the end of it, this will be something that my mother, will hang on the fridge, no there's a hair i lost my trailer, thought, damn hair that's one of the great, struggles of making videos is anything, anything can distract you and that's it, trailer for, gone now oh that is a cool image, bam nice alrighty so what we're going to, do right now is open up this pack, see if we can find ourselves a nice, image to use because really i have no, idea what is inside this and i am just, as excited as you, to crack it open and see what we've got, and also see what these stickers and i, guess, see if those pencils are any good, they're probably going to be god awful, you know what i find strange is if you, want your children to succeed and you, want your children to progress, don't supply them with bad art tools, give them the right materials, it took me years to discover new things, and to learn new skills, because i never had access to the right, materials so please, parents if you want your children to, take art seriously and you want them to, grow and learn, buy them the right things i went off on, a little bit of a rant there i'm so, sorry, let's go alrighty so here is oh wait, no it's not here is, the spider-man coloring playback and as, you can see this is one of the most, beautiful coloring book, things that i've actually used on this, series now granted this is a pack this, is not a book, per se but it is still beautiful, nonetheless, it cost me two euros 50 which comes into, a price tag of around three dollars, which actually makes this a very, cheap coloring book turning it over we, get, yeah a lovely little poster image right, here of venom carnage and spider-man, and uh carnage is coming out real soon, so, i think that's who i'm hoping to find, within spoilers alert here him, inside this book, huh wow, i'm gonna lie that actually looks really, amazing like that, oh okay didn't expect that this is, beautiful, um so it does appear that this is, actually a book we, okay hold up there's really more stuff, in here, alrighty so we've got two different, coloring pads here of two different, sizes this one is actually relatively, small, yeah it's upside down, it's spider-man i don't know is it, upside down or not all right this paper, sucks i can tell you that right now this, is so, thin and the images are actually, incredible but, they're double-sided nobody likes, double-sided okay so let's take a look, at the proper coloring pad that we're, actually gonna use and hopefully this, one is better than the one we just, looked at because, that one was pretty bad whip, oh no this is the paper sucks, ha there's a lot of images up here as, well like on the backs but we don't, really, we don't care about the backs or the, fronts i i don't really know what, carnage found him i can't work with that, i, can't what am i supposed to do with this, image it's, it's not good so this is the image we're, gonna be working from today now the text, right here is absolutely beautiful i'll, give them that the text looks absolutely, amazing but the image, overall is pretty boring and there's, really nothing going on here, so what are we gonna do today well today, i have, stolen quite a lot of things from my, wife, now i got some paints and we're gonna, paint, you've never seen me do that on this, channel have you it's it's pretty rare, i'm gonna paint a coloring book, hopefully i can rip this, out of the page without, nope no no no no i got a knife, all righty so the next step is i need a, bit of card to mount this to, okay found some card how am i going to, mount it i need glue, i don't have glue i have wood glue what, do i do i need to cut it, ah, stop stop stop stop stop stop what's it, doing quick quick quick quick quick, quick quick, it's not exactly straight but that's, good enough i think, okay next up gesso so i'm going to be, using a transparent, gesso to go over this, i'm going to be using anything come on, oh that's oh that stinks, what is that, what is this get off, what i have no idea what i'm doing, oh it is transparent, wow boom it is dry, yep so i don't really know where to go, from here uh the paper kind of like, the cardboard that i put this on, actually ended up folding in a big, big way can i, ha it's kind of ah that's the best i'm, gonna get it, it's a bit wobbly, okay so today i'm gonna be using the, arteza acrylic paints, now fortunately my wife has already, prepared me a, color chart so i don't have to do the, tedious task of trying these out and, seeing which colors are what, i get to look at this chart and see them, already these are pretty sensible names, for the colors, mars black mars is red, so i'm gonna be 100 honest with you, right here i don't really have, much in the way of an idea on what it is, i'm gonna do you see it's been a while, since i've done any sort of painting and, oh wow they're actually organized into, individual color palettes made my life, easier, so with the paints chosen it is time to, get started with painting carnage using, acrylic paints now i got to say right, now before we begin, i am super nervous because it has been a, long time since i've used paints, so wish me luck let's go, alrighty so to kick things off today, i'll be starting this painting the same, way i would any other piece of artwork, be it paint or markers i always want a, base layer, not only is a base layer great for, hiding the white of the paper which, actually makes the coloring process, a lot easier and require a lot less, paints but it also gives us a chance to, warm up get the hand flowing and get, comfortable with the surface texture, and the area we are working with this, really is just such, an important step and one i really never, recommend skipping, always use a base layer oh, and i'm going to be adding a tongue, i i i just really wanted to, now on to the actual process of layering, should you have an idea on what you want, to do, before you start um, maybe personally i never do, i'm the kind of artist who likes to fill, things out and allow the day's mood, to take me because let's face it maybe, today i'm a little bit rusty in one, area versus another so i always leave, myself open to switching it up which, actually does happen in today's piece, and i'll let you know when we get there, but just know it is perfectly normal to, not have a clear idea on what it is you, want to do, and to just kind of go with it and see, what happens, and here we are so okay i was having, issues getting the coverage i wanted, with the paints, this could be down to many factors but i, really like the look i was getting here, so i decided it was best to follow this, new color palette and level of blending, and let's be honest the colors weren't, that great either, [Music], you're probably also wondering right now, how's the paper handling the paints, well if i'm honest thanks to the gesso, primer, i really don't feel there's anything, wrong with it if anything we have, brought it in line with a, canvas the texture and the grit here are, perfectly adequate and it now falls on, my abilities as well as the quality of, these paints, so if you were wishing to do something, like this definitely, prime your page and you'll be totally, fine, there'll be some details down below in, the description for the primer i'm using, as well are the paints and, other such things, [Music], okay i got i gotta add teeth i don't, wanna, but i gotta i gotta say i do like the, fact that it doesn't matter whether, these teeth are straight or not those so, that's comforting but these small, details, actually do require some attention and, like i'm currently watching harry potter, while i do this, so not really focused, i'm trying to understand why didn't he, accio the cup, to win in the maze i mean when he's in, the graveyard, he accio's the cup back to him so he, could have done that in the maze and he, would have, okay i'm gonna focus on the teeth, oh yeah the tongue okay to get this, tongue right i need to create, saliva or spit and the way to do this is, either, a very wet white or a very dry white, basically what you want to do is add a, very thin coat of white paint to the, areas, of the saliva along with using some, thick white highlights to create a more, realistic appearance, it's um it's kind of gross actually, by the way anyone else think we should, add some blood, we'll touch on that later oh oh, okay okay wait wait wait wait wait wait, wait wait so, this is kind of close to being done but, i wanna do, something the background is great as is, so i'll likely do nothing is what i, thought, i totally messed up so like i wanted to, do a shadow behind him, but i did it on the wrong side, oh no so i had to paint over the, area and flip the shadows maybe i should, focus a little bit more, but harry is really close to finding the, last horcrux here and to be honest i'm, kind of more interested in that, i'm british he's like a hero to us, so with the shadows flipped uh oh, bonfloss, the hand, maybe the writing first actually yeah, okay so the text, is so beautiful it'd be a shame to ruin, it so i started with just a, fine layer of paint enough to change the, color yet not so much that we would lose, those details, because again this text is absolutely, beautiful, i love it love that text, but then i remembered i'm adc, and i can't help myself so i added, unnecessary shadows and, highlights, but okay the hand the hand itself was, more of what we've been doing throughout, this entire piece, the standard red base with highlights, and shadows, nothing about this was different to the, overall piece we had been doing before, the black symbiote lines were a little, tedious to add but again, with there being no right or wrong way, it really wasn't too difficult, but something i've often avoided on this, channel due to censorship and certain, opinions, is gore or blood, i sacrificed much of my creativity by, not, including it however this time i feel it, is totally warranted and will actually, enhance the piece, so i'm adding some blood to the, fingernails to tell a story, and that is something i adore with art, and a very common theme you'll see with, many of my art pieces when adding either, a background, or those extra details that go beyond, the line work given in these coloring, books, the additions you make no matter how big, or small they are, can make a piece your own they'll tell a, story and start a discussion, and like it or not that is what art is, art is subjective and art, welcomes discussion so i've got to ask, you, what does this piece say to you, and there we have it everyone the, painting from a children's coloring book, is complete what do you think about it, do you like it do you love it let me, know in a comment down below, now before we go any further with the, overview of this piece there is one, thing i love to do, and that is take a look back at where we, started with, this beautiful image from a coloring, book i mean this is one of the best, pictures i've ever had to work with, yes the background is very simplistic, but everything on this page, works collectively to enhance the, character of, carnage and it is just such a beautiful, layout this is, a beautiful coloring sheet we moved into, a base layer which is where we started, to get an idea on what we wanted to do, because i added a tongue but from here, we moved in, to this i just, i just love it it's so pretty, this is honestly my favorite part of, these videos, looking back at the timeline of where we, started to where we are, you see i don't go into these pieces or, these episodes knowing what i want to do, i create and i learn as i go so i am, just as surprised as you by the results, by the end of it because, i basically did it with you, i saw it unfold with you and it's just, so, cool now this was a very difficult task, here today because not only did we cut a, sheet out of a coloring book which is, something i never really do but, kind of had to it's been a long time, since i've used acrylic paints, so my abilities were really tested here, and i would never have been able to get, through this entire piece, without having movies such as harry, potter or music to listen to because, this was a very big task there are so, many small details here, and it's really nice to be able to bring, yourself out of the piece to relax to, enjoy, it and just get through it in a nice, enjoyable, manner so i will ask you one more time, do you like it let me know in a comment,
