hey art friends today we're drawing a, mom hugging or holding a baby it's gonna, be a lot of fun i hope you're gonna, follow along with me you gotta mark her, in some paper and we're drawing this, because mother's day is in a couple days, so i thought it would be a lot of fun to, draw a mom all right so first step we're, gonna draw is our mom's head we're going, to draw a u shape right in the middle of, our paper i'm going to draw a big u, like that now if i go too fast you can, always pause the video sometimes you may, need extra time to complete a step so, feel free to take that time if you need, it okay now let's draw her little ear on, the right side so we're going to draw a, backwards c shape, now we're going to draw her hair so, we're going to draw a big curve that, goes around the outside, like this comes around, and back on the other side of her ear, then we can draw the details inside of, her hair too so let's draw a big curve, that starts right here comes down and, connects to the side of her head, and then we can draw another curve that, starts right here, and, goes behind her ear, okay now let's add a few extra lines for, the details on her hair i'm going to, draw another curve two curves here on, the side and we can also draw two curves, over here now it looks more like hair, doesn't it, okay she's looking really cool now we're, gonna draw her bun we're gonna give her, more hair back here so we'll draw, a sideways c-shape, and then we can draw lines inside of, that, for her hair, now she's gonna be hugging her baby so, we're gonna draw her eyes closed like, she's giving her baby a really big hug, so i'm going to draw two, rainbow lines, our upside down u's, and then we can add little eyelashes two, little eyelashes on the side of her eyes, and then last let's give her a smile, there we go we finished our mom's head, she looks really cute okay now let's, draw the baby and we're going to draw, her head behind our mom's head so we're, using overlapping let's draw a rainbow, line, right here, next to, her head, and then we can also draw our baby's ear, over here so we're going to draw a c, shape, and then let's complete our baby's head, by drawing, a big u, and when we're done we want it to look, like a circle that's going behind our, mom's head, okay now let's draw the inside of our, baby's head let's draw her hair or, his hair so i'm going to draw it a lot, like our mom's hair so i'm going to draw, one big curve and then another curve, going the other direction, and then let's add a few more of those, same curves so i'm going to add another, one here, and one on the other side, now we can draw now babies usually have, messy hair so i'm going to draw two, little spikes sticking out, it looks like the letter m next let's, draw our baby's eyes so i'm going to, draw, two circles, and then i'm going to draw smaller, circles inside, just like this and then i'm going to, color in the big circles but leave those, little circles white, and then let's draw our baby's mouth, open so i'm going to draw a little, diagonal line and then a u-shape that, comes down, and then back up, and then i'm going to color in my baby's, mouth, now that we've finished their heads, let's draw our mom holding the baby so, we're going to draw her arm coming down, so her shoulder this is her arm coming, down and then it's going to come back up, right next to the baby so it's a v looks, like the letter v, next we're going to draw the rest of her, arm so we're going to draw a curve that, comes out right here and it's going to, come back to her elbow, and then back up, to finish her arm, now we're going to draw the rest of her, body so we're going to draw her shoulder, up here, that comes down the other direction like, this, and it's going to come down to a point, then we're going to draw the other side, of her body and the baby's body we're, going to start right here, curve down, and into this point down here at the, bottom now the cool thing about this is, it kind of looks like a little hidden, heart now that's the fun part about, drawing is sometimes you can hide these, little things inside of your drawings, okay now let's finish these details so, we're going to draw the rest of her body, so we're going to draw her belly line, that comes down this way, then we're going to draw the rest of the, baby's body we're going to draw the, other side of the heart coming in, and then we can draw her little hand, holding her back so we're gonna draw an, upside down u, and then we need to add some fingers so, let's add two lines inside of that u, and we did it we finished their body i, think that's my favorite part about this, drawing is the little hidden heart all, right let's add three more hearts now, these hearts are just going to be, floating up so the first one we're going, to draw right here we draw a c shape, and another backwards c shape that comes, down to a point down here at the bottom, and then we can draw a smaller one, up a little higher, and i also turn the heart going the, other direction and then i'll draw one, more heart that's even smaller and i'm, going to tip it to the left so it looks, like the hearts are going back and forth, now i'm gonna put my marker off to the, side and i'm gonna color my drawing next, but this part i'm gonna fast forward so, remember at the end you can pause the, video to match the same color, all right i finished coloring my drawing, it turned out really great i'm sure your, drawings look super cute now remember, you can use your creativity to change, your drawing you could turn the mom into, a grandma or you could even change the, boy into a girl by just adding longer, hair you could also use darker skin, tones you could use lighter hair color, you could change this any way you want, so that it looks more like your mother, or like your grandma the important thing, to remember is to always have fun to, practice and also remember when you give, this to your mom or your grandmother to, give her a big giant hug and tell her, you love her and we'll see you later our, friends goodbye, [Music]

My childhood stuffed tiger cub. Mom received it from a friend at a baby shower in late '98/early '99. Eyes are not original, and it possibly had a green colored tag on its back leg. 0

Baby shower invite: I am trying to do a fall themed shower invitation. The client requested muted fall colors. I don’t think this looks very fall-ish but every time I add a red or orange hue it looks horrible. I painted the individual elements and put them in illustrator. Any suggestions/criticism? 8
