hi everyone and welcome back to my, channel, so i thought it'd be interesting today, to go through all of my coloring heaven, issues, now i have got a big big, big pile now most of these aren't, colored in but i, am a boot collector as well as doing, coloring for youtube, i enjoy coloring collecting coloring, boots and collecting, different things so most of them aren't, colored in i've got two of the calendars, which i believe are the only two that, are available, so let me move these without breaking my, back, and they're not in any particular order, i don't keep them in particular order, because i do color in these, so i just put them back in any any, random order some of these calendars, will have to be careful because there is, uh, dates and private information on but, we've got the the coloring habit, hello there the color in heaven uh, number, this is number two yeah this is the, second one that they brought, to the 2021 if i show you like this i'll, have to lean, back to show you some of the pages that, i've actually, colored i don't know why i've not done, that yet because i do like that artist, zan von zed i've got i've got a couple, of uh pdfs, this i've done the background i didn't, come back to the actual, page which is not like me because it's, jasmine becky griffith i've not done, that one, we'll just go through the ones quickly, that i've not done i did do that one by, christine karen, i still really like that one this is the, one that they had the issue with there, was a lie, wrong with the the print the printer and, i think they donated an extra 50p, because of that i love that line, so that's another whip that i started, off oh gosh, ages and ages and ages because i started, that one off, another one i've not done another one, i've not done, the harlem one which i'm definitely, going to do, this year so i'll do this around october, time i think, i've got the grayscale one with the, dragon you think i would have done that, but it's very very gray scaled, for me so that one needs to be kept to, one side because it needs to go back in, my kitchen wall, so this was last year's and i do prefer, this one because this one, is spiral bound i don't know why they, changed it, i do like the spiral around it better, i've gone through these very very, quickly i've got dates and all sorts on, these, so we've got that one that i finished, and i did most of that with watercolor i, think and then, just some stickles blended with my, finger in the background, we did that one which i did that one, ages and ages ago, and with the skin i used polychromos for, the first time to do skin and i was so, proud of myself, and then soft pastels for the background, i still really really like that, and there's some glossy accents as well, on the eyes that one with karen markers, that i never came back to, the dragon one we didn't actually finish, that when i did that one in watercolor, the white stag misfits, is it misfits yes misfits, i really like that one i tried to do a, smoker pet with the acrylic paint, that one that i just practiced the, pumpkin on, for halloween i think i was practicing, it for a tutorial i think, the hanolin one which that was the very, first page i did later this week and, again i was so, happy with this one and most of that was, watercolor i think, i think so anyway i'm gonna do that one, and i've not done anything on the back, so i will just go ahead and put these on, the floor because otherwise i'm gonna, write a cream this was definitely one of, the first ones, that i got the furry one, and i have done a few out of these i've, got a fly in my room, and it's been here for two days and it's, i've got the windows open and everything, doesn't seem to want to fly out no this, was, i've got the original one that's got, these in i've got these christine, caramel, in there i like to scan the pictures and, put it on my own paper, but i have trouble getting because of, the crease of the pages i have to take, the page out of the boot which i don't, like doing, so i don't think i've actually done, anything in this one, no it's not i know i've done some of, these pages in the other book, uh we move on to a halloween special, pikachu, we've got one wicket here i can see, i definitely need to pull some of these, beats here again so i've done that with, alcohol markers and i don't know why i'm, not coming back to it, is that the only one that i've done out, of this shocking, shocking never that was the, issue 66 i'm probably better off just, saying the issues and, so we've got 67 which it's the zodiac, signs and i know i've not done anything, out of this one, i do own these boots and i have done, some of the pages in them books, yeah i've not done anything with that, one, i've got the gothic one what is it does, it need some dw, you know my husband always laughs at mr, c say the wrong thing, but is it dw farter so the really great, skilled ones, curse they did a lot of these pictures i, remember, right at the start of her doing, colouring she did a lot of these, pictures they were beautiful, um oh we've got hannelin in here, we've got misfits we've got jasmine, beckett griffith, and some artists who are not too sure, that's number, so where's the issue number one these, ones, the issue number on them ones it's just, the, next the price no it doesn't say, maybe because this one's a special one, because it's different by the new gold, and these under purple, that's what it probably is we've got, very special which i've done one page of, this one, i do believe yeah i did that one, which watercolor does not like this, paper very much in the color in heaven, ones unfortunately, because it is thinner paper that's issue, number 62., i should really put these in order, shouldn't i so we've got purple red and, gold, and there's no issue on this one, um i've done any in here i don't think i, have either, so i have got duplicates of quite a few, images, well than that very first page but if, you get this as a subscription you'll, have the same, problem as me having duplicates, we have the cutesy christmas special now, i remember being so excited about this, one, because of the mariella blue deck but i, was coloring all the christmas pages at, the time and i never, i just never got around to coloring them, so definitely this year, i'm gonna pull this boot out we've got, hannah lynn i've seen that later on, instagram, or is it etsy, yeah very cutesy pages but it's the, hannah, it's not the halloween it's the mario la, blue deck was the main reason i bought, that book, this one was the very first color in, heaven that i got and my husband picked, this up for me i just sent him to the, supermarket i said pick any coloring b, cup farmer and before this it was the, i think it was the dragon by anne's, oh what's the name i can't remember the, name, um and then the game of thrones one i, did watercolor in that with a watercolor, pen, and then you pick this one up farmer and, i've took one of the pages out of this, actually because i colored it, well did i have to scan it was it that, one, it might have been that one i've scanned, or took one of the pages out, i've lost my train of thought now and i, colored it and gave it to my, father-in-law as, a president because i called it like his, cat yeah luke, some of the very oldest stuff that i was, doing, i mean that's right at the start even, swatching on the page the colors, i'd never in a million years do that now, unless i was going over it with paint, but i think i was adding me headlights, started, yeah let's start at the front of the, beak and make my way through it that was, the idea, and it never stuck and it never stays to, this day either, i don't know what i was going for and, maybe a light was shining down here, yeah it's really funny looking back at, these yeah look at the weather, the kites and i was really proud of, these at the time i was really really, proud but that was, right at the start so if that's issue, that's 2018, whoa, i haven't been doing youtube for that, long it was a long time before i, plopped all the courage to do youtube so, this is the dragon special number 63 i'm, pretty sure i've not done any of this, because i've got the original boot, that these uh images came out of, and i only did the thing last month or, is it this month, yeah i thought i did a page out of uh, that week, we've got the costumes one now if i was, in the store i don't have a subscription, i just picked them up when i think i'm, going to colour in them or i want to, keep them to collect them, and my husband picked this up for me um, and it had, is it this big there's a boot that's got, an indentation, all the way down the middle it might not, be this one, yeah if uh if it was me i wouldn't have, picked this peacock oh there it is, you see the indents and it was like that, when i bought it, and you could not color over that at all, it's terrible absolutely terrible so i, don't know if that's happened, for that page found in shipping or what, i don't know, i don't know and that one it doesn't say, the issue of, we've got hannah kells on my beloved, hannah carson i should have bought a, couple of copies of these just, have number 58 and i think i've only, done one of this, but it's so nice to have these, um i'm sure i did a page with the birds, and the crystals, yeah there it is that's the one that i, did mostly with alcohol markers and a, bit of white gel pen, i like them close together actually, i even keep the pieces of paper i don't, know why i do it, but i do apologize on here, we've got the fantasy princesses special, i think i did bonnet of this one as well, i did like the style of this artist, pretty sure i did one it was like an, egyptian one yep there it is, it's waiting in there you can i can, remember each page i've done, well to start off natively each book and, i think i did this with prismacolor, and watercolor actually, that's the only one that i've done out, of that one that one's issue 61., so this is the one that kirsty did lols, in, it yeah it definitely definitely was and, i didn't do a lot of this, i've looted this artist on etsy now, don't come for me, please don't come for me but i think the, images, today and lord as pds are so expensive, so i was practicing pan pastel with that, one yeah they're so expensive compared, to some of the other artists that i do, purchase a lot like mariolabe, so deck won't be purchasing any of these, as i wanted to do that one as well i, just never did, i won't be purchasing these as pdfs oh i, did the dragon one, and that's how i did it of that one but, yeah i remember because they did a lot, of that one, woodland furry special again this was a, very very early one, 49 issue 49 i've even done the front, not on the back but i've done the front, cover on this one, which is very surprising for me, so again i just need to try and scan, these into my computer, and print them out so i was practicing, with some window and newton markers, though i did not like how the skin, turned out, so that's why i removed the tag and, moved it down so i couldn't see it and, the same problem with this one as well, i didn't like the alcohol markers, um and we did this one well not we, because i didn't do youtube at the time, but i was so incredibly proud of myself, that i managed this, use oil pastels in the background and, then the pencils would have been, probably a black widow but i can't tell, you how proud of myself i was for the, skin on this i was showing everybody i, was pointing on me fake me, actual facebook, but yeah looking back at it now i've got, i've gone around the edges with a black, pen apparently, yeah it's nice to see though how far, i've come, i did that one time super duper early, and that one that i'm not finished, i think the blending is getting ever so, slightly better on this one, and that one as well with alcohol, markers, and stickles in the eyes, so now we move on to issue number 50, and what was i doing here i think i was, using it a fine liner, i don't think i've done many of this one, i did share this one again, on my facebook before i started doing, youtube, and that was the um, the american acrylic paint i've used, that for one long time now, there is definitely definitely there's, the other page with soft pastels and oil, pastels, with this one and again i was so proud, of what i did at the time i don't think, i've done anymore, we've got this steampunk special by, hannah lynn now i know i've done, a few in here i can tell where the pages, are, so that is inktense and neocolor twos, for this one, this one as well that's the alcohol, background and prismacolor, so you can slowly see how i'm managing, to get, more vibrant colors and better blends as, well, but this one that her is very, um choppy looking, i've got this one and that was a teaser, acrylic paint on the background and i, hated it and i still hate it now as well, that all i've done out of here it is, but there is some images out there that, are just for the color in heaven, so i do need to pull that one back out, the freightline's halloween one this was, one that you had to, order some adorable stuff, you had to just order offline you, couldn't get this in the shop, so my first technique is terrible, terrible is that the only one that i've, done out of this one, i believe so i do really like this one, here, with the rain i think that would be, beautiful colored, again i think i'm gonna have to pull, this out for halloween, so that's not got the issue because that, is a special again, and this one's issue 54 another, halloween special, i love grayscale on the back i did a, video on this i do you believe, for the background and then i use paint, for her dress anymore in here, yeah we did that one and i did this one, over live stream this is when i first, started doing, live streams yeah not my best work, not my best work i do need to start live, streaming again, so i'm plucking up the courage to do it, again starting all over and trying to, remember how to do all the um, the stuff on the laptop i could do it, for my phone i suppose but, it is easier doing it from the laptop, and seeing everything and moving things, around, so i did this grayscale one and that, is alcohol markers and distressing, for the background i did the pony on, that i can see, well i did the skin as well it just, didn't show up very well i think that's, why i stopped, very very gray scale this book, gothic anthem i can't okay even it's not, anthony, i can't even read that word but it's, number it it's number, issue sixther so the newest one in my, collection, is the kerbers one and i had to get this, for nostalgia reasons, i was brought up with curbers so i had, to get this my older than picked it up, from the other night as soon as i saw, the email, did you need to go up on that bomber so, the couple of, really light grayscale ones at the back, and then just curvers with nice little, quotes, so i think i'll end up just using, alcohol markers with this just, something simple i don't think i'll get, away with doing a lot of shading, there's a couple of dents in this one, yeah just adorable i had to get that, just just to have in my collection, and then we've got the this is, is the issue on this one yeah so they've, changed it they put the issue at the, bottom, that's the bar called so issue 77., now i don't believe i've colored, anything out of this and i do really, like this issue so i'm not sure why i, haven't, no i don't think i have i've seen some, beautiful finished pages in this, we've got the world's women of worlds, which this is, issue issue 29, that can't be right because this is a, new one issue 29 it says, and i've not done any of this one this, is another one that my husband picked up, for me i do like the sketchy ones, yeah he put this one up farmer, we have the steampunk special which i've, bought, a couple of the pdfs from this artist, and i've binded them into my own book, so i do like this artist there was a, wizard of oz page i do believe that i, was gonna buy as well, and i think it's in here i'm sure it is, there is i was gonna buy this ages ago, yeah so that's the steampunk one, now we've got furry star stories special, now kirsty bought this one for me and, i've not covered anything, eight of us but yeah this is very, special to me because they did for this, little farmer, who's the artist now atiyana, but really really cute pictures i've, just not got around to coloring it yet, i haven't called much of her work to be, honest, the mermaid special i had to pick this, up because i love the, anastasia called eva's work i do all her, colouring books, so i do have these on better paper, but they're just absolutely stunning, i love her artwork she is one of my, favorite artists her, mariella breeder hannah kyle's on not in, any particular order, hannah lynn really really beautiful, so did i say what issue that was issue, 71 this, issue is see it says 23 that can't be, right, i think i did one in here and i didn't, like how it was turning out, so i didn't finish it off if i remember, correctly yep it was this one, the alcohol markers that i was using, bled, terribly into each other and there was, no way of, fixing that i would have had to go over, with this with a darker color, i don't want anything in that one from, that whoopsie page, i've got the chibi special i think my, husband picked this one up, as well former, i'm pretty sure i've not done anything, out of this one, i think sometimes the paper does put me, off a little bit it's better than amazon, printed paper but it's not like the, paper that you're going to get out of, calzone's boots i love, so this one i didn't even say, um no this is another special isn't it, so this is just a mixture of all the, pages from the year i do believe, i've got more hanukkah than that, and the very last one is the endangered, animals by tim, jeffs i do really like his artwork but i, find it so intimidating, these are a little bit more sketchy, actually than the ones in his other, boots and, there's some with backgrounds which are, not in his other beaks, i hadn't noticed that until night, all the other ones i've got a flat, background, i've not done any out of here which i'm, quite disappointed in myself but, that's a really nice one that's a really, really nice one, but that is all of my colour in heaven, collection, and like i said i don't color in each of, them but i do like collecting boots that, is one of the things that i do, collect so if you're thinking why should, color beats is not coloring them, it's just like my husband collects, pokemon cards i can't clip, cooling boots so, oh i'm not going to get all these in, frame i don't think, but i have recently just moved around, and sorted out my bookshelf, so they fit all perfectly nice and neat, into one corner at night all together, apart from the um, not the posters the calendars, so yeah that is all of my color in, heaven and all the pages that i've done, i do need to do a month of just coloring, heaven maybe, because i have got a lot of pages in, here that i do want to do it's just, the paper puts me off ever so slightly, if you've got any tips on how i can scan, these, into my computer to print them out on, better paper i would really really, appreciate that, so yeah let's get this tidy up tied it, up, and i will see you ,Ask HN: Bootstrapping; should I buy a site template?I'm bootstrapping a recruiting process outsourcing consultancy for internal HR and recruiting staff and want to get a start on marketing, but don't have the funds for a designer and I haven't touched anything HTML related since 1998.

Is it advisable to throw the $50 at a template from ThemeForest or one such site early in the game? It would likely just be a landing page with an overview of services, and a contact form or phone number, I've received some validation on my concept in the form of an HR manager saying to come back in Q2 and they'll have the budget to talk about signing an agreement. So if anything, it'd be a very temporary site until successfully closing my first client.

I'm not selling a consumable product, nor is it SaaS, just an outsourced business process and I can swallow $50 much more easily than the costs for a designer to put together the type of site I'd be looking for.

Backstory: August of last year, after a year and a half from my last startup closing down, I decided it was time to get back to work. The time had been spent with my family, and watching my son in his first year. It was a good time. But getting back to work would mean getting a job, and at the time, I was more concerned about a solid pay check. Obviously, in this economic climate, it was a bit scary, but I had ample experience and was confident I could land a job. I went to work. I had to create a resume, and then get it up online. I bought the domain name, and put it up there. Spent quite a bit of time getting it right. In the end, this is what allow my current employer to find me. A search on Google came up with my resume as the first result, provided the proper contact information, and made it easy for them to get in contact with me. After interviews and negotiations, I got the job.

My brother is in a situation like this as well. He's part of the inspiration for this project. The idea is that I had to spend time putting together the website, the design, even as simple as it was, and making sure it got up on the search engines. None of this was difficult for me to do, but for someone like my brother, he doesn't even realize it's something he should do. A resume on Monster.com isn't geared toward the masses and SEO. It's geared toward Monster.com searching.

Since leaving school, I've gotten all my jobs because someone knew me somehow and recommended me in some capacity. Of those, 3 of them also included what I did online. One, in fact, included me walking into the interview with a stack an inch thick of what the interviewer had found online about me.

The reality is, most people get jobs through word of mouth. Someone knows someone, or their is some common ground. At least the good jobs.

So, the idea for the site is bred from some simple ideas:

1. It's good to have a website dedicated to your resume. To promoting yourself. You want a search result with your name to return your resume, your own personal advertisement, rather than some random Facebook page.

2. You want to always be promoting yourself. The job market has changed, and you want to be out there. If someone is interested in searching for you, you don't want them to have to go searching for more information. You want that information to be easily found.

3. Most people don't have the time or energy to invest in creating an highly optimized online resume. Couple this with the cost of having to buy hosting, and the price can get a bit high just for a place to put an online resume.

4. People need jobs. In the current market, job hunting has become even more important. People are becoming aware that it's important to always be prepared to find a job. If you aren't actively pursuing a better job, you're hurting yourself.

5. For far too long, job hunting has been employer-centric. Advertise a job, receive resumes. People are coming to accept that advertising their own skills is becoming important. Social networks are, in a way, teaching people to put their lives online in an orderly fashion; a personal resume.

6. Employers focus too much on accepting resumes instead of getting what they want. It's difficult for employers to find people with the skills they need on their own, without going through an agency. Even then, it's still focused on hiring unemployed people or people that are actively looking.

These are pretty broad ideas, but rather simple. They describe the problems, the issues at hand. The service seeks to solve these problems in various ways, to service not only the potential employees, but the employers as well.

1. Simple to use. The site is focused on providing an efficient, professional resume. You fill in the blanks. The goal is to be fast, painless, and get up something good, quick.

2. The service is meant to be long term. Year-long terms here. The idea goal is for the resume to be a 'living resume.' It updates itself, or you update it, with the current status. It's smart. A year goes by, and 5 years of experience becomes 6, for example. You are encouraged to update.

3. Everything is optimized. The page itself is optimized for search engines. The design will be optimized for easy viewing. Easy printing. Easy sharing. SEO will not just be on the resume itself, but also for searching. Need a Rails Developers in Atlanta Georgia? We'll make that easy to find.

4. You're always promoting yourself. The goal is to make a search for your name appear at or near the top of the search result. This is, after all, your page with your professional information.

5. No ads. I mean, the entire site is basically an advertisement, each page for a particular person, if you want to get technical, but no flashing banner ads, text ads, etc.

6. Low cost. Pay a yearly fee, something reasonable.

There is a lot of potential for expanding the services offered. Being able to put up a portfolio would be important. Pictures of yourself if you wanted. Customization through CSS.

Standards would be important. Exporting contact information as well as the resume itself. All the data would be used and indexed on. Searching and pages could be made on anything.

Anyway's, that's a brief overview of the idea. There are tons of other specifics, and other ideas, as well as ways to go about marketing it and getting users. My questions are simple:

1. Would you pay for a service like this?
2. Do you know others that would pay for a service like this?
3. Have you ever built an online resume/portfolio?
4. Would this service benefit professionals in industries outside web developers?
5. Would businesses outside web-based/focused companies use such a means to find employers?

I'm sure there are other questions, I'll have, and frankly, you don't need to answer these questions point by point. Just wanted to give you an idea of some of the initial questions I might have. Any input at all is encouraged.

As a final point, I've searched online for a service like this, and while I've found a few that promote the same basic thing, I haven't found anything that really capture what I would want in a service. In tech-terms: a Web 2.0 Online Resume site.

I've put a lot of thought into this, played around with some initial designs, hacked up some code, but at this stage, I'm more eager to gain some initial feedback before investing heavily into this idea. So, have at it.

This took SO many hours and it isn't even technically the first page... Maybe I should have picked something easier for my first time trying adult coloring, but I've always been ambitious. 10
